“I run thanks to the support I get from the running group, there is no medicine that helped me and gave my body what running gives. The substances that are released in my body while running work wonders”
For the NTL association – victims of trauma on a national background, we need a volunteer and an operation assistant for the project “Running with Rami” – running groups for those dealing with post-trauma due to war and terrorism.
The practice of sports is known and proven to be an effective means of empowerment for people dealing with physical as well as mental phenomena, which make it difficult for them in their daily lives.
From this, the idea of running and walking groups developed for people who were affected by terrorist incidents and war, directly or indirectly, and are dealing with post-traumatic symptoms – IDF veterans, including reservists, members of the security forces, people who experienced terrorist incidents. The project has three running groups – in Modi’in, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Each group has a volunteer group manager, a therapist and a running coach.
